                           Inside the women coach

This is just a sneak peak inside the women coach of Delhi metro.  So I met a friend and meanwhile our conversation he wanted my headphones for some reason. And somehow I didn't have them on me that day. And my 'friend' with a shocked expression on him said 'How come you don't have headphones? How do u spend your travel time in the metro then...bore nai hoti?' Well my reply left him thinking and gave me the idea of my new blog post. I said 'I read. Sometimes I read books and sometimes people,'
Metro coach is a museum of different people . And well the women coach is another story altogether. So on my way back in the boob crushing crowd of metro I found paras for my blog.
A huge crowd enters the coach with backpacks and handbags, in suits and shirts, wearing light to heavy makeup. Each from a different place, with a different story...so much to keep me busy :)
So here are few variety of women you will definitely find inside the women coach of Delhi metro...
There are always some middle aged working ladies with really high pitched voice talking about her day to a colleague or on her phone..."Han mishraji ko bhijwa di humne file...ab unki zimmedari h."
To counter their effect the kind of girls with a must have 'earphones' on them playing music loud enough for the girl next to her to listen too.
The mommy with a naughty kid, revolving with the metro pole.
The best friend gang talking about a guy and there, a number of brains work cohesively to reply one guy...."Yaar tune yeh kyu kaha....yeh bolna tha..mast maze aate"
The ones returning from a party or shopping spree..happy smiles on them.
The super tired kinds..sleeping in a corner or relaxing on the metro floor.
And last but not the least the fashionista kinds...the girl that makes others a little jealous.
These are some of the most common ones and then there are some rare ones too... the expecting mommy with a little baby bump and a bright glow on her face. The religious kinds...wearing a hijab or a turban. Also sometimes, some confused yet delighted tourists, finding it difficult to adjust in the crowded metro but they feel delighted from their tour of the capital of India.
Amidst all this hustle bustle sometimes there will be a little kiddo smiling at people or sleeping peacefully. And well that sight let me tell you can wear off your pressure of entire day.

So in my defense, yes sometimes I forget my earplugs rather I prefer not having them. Its a fun ride afterall.

SOMETIMES IT’S GOOD TO JUST LET GO

Life doesn’t follow the path you direct it to. Sometimes certain things are beyond your control. No amount of effort can change what future holds for you. And well what can be called as the biggest return out of it all, is the experience you gain and how that experience shapes you as a person.

That moment when you know history is repeating itself and your life is going on the same track on which it once was. It wasn’t a specific day or any moment but it was a long span of time before I realized where it was all leading to.

So my life was once again in the same phase…a lot of realizations happened before I choose to just let go.  Some people need to know that I did all I could but I will no longer be their muse. My nice version wasn’t because I wanted anything in return but because that’s how I am. But what you failed to realize all throughout that I can be as indifferent as caring I was.

Yes I may not be funny to you anymore or my stories may now sound boring to you…but I am pretty sure I am better off the way I am. I haven’t changed my ways for anyone ever but I amended for I thought it was for good. Well I am back to my own self now and it feels GREAT! I have kind of realized you are an error I had once made and yet I was foolish enough to make it all over again. Thank god I realized before I was in it far too deep.

I know nothing will change for you even if I leave because the way you are, you will soon have a new toy to play with but I pity the new one now. I wish this reaches to them before you do.
Yes there will be a space for now I have chucked you out, but an empty space is better than having you.

Apart from the aforementioned, it was a pleasure meeting you as you are on my top list of errors made in life.

I will still be the same me but you should know once I move forward I never ever look back.

P.s. (Readers) - This isn’t a write up after break up. It is for a friend who recently lost its importance and I know this is the best way to make them realize.
(Admin) – Please post it. For I know you are the best medium. Post this as well, don’t make any changes. And I love you for doing this for me.

ADMIN – As requested by a friend. But trust me it does looks like break up post :)
Dosti mei kya kya krna padta h..:P
Until a next and better post…value friendship :)

Traveling alone is fun

There are numerous perks of traveling alone. While to some the idea may sound boring, let me tell you it certainly is an experience of a lifetime.

Traveling alone ain't a easy task but once you opt for it, you get a lot more out of it than you can ever imagine.

For any general trip with a couple of people, it is said 'More than the destination the journey with them matters'. Well, it is the biggest perk of traveling alone 'The journey'. While in a group one spends most part of their journey chatting and playing, what you miss onto is the minute details of your trip - the natural beauty around, the cities, the people and the food.

Unplanned destinations, new friends on the journey and the quest for exploration can all be satisfied with just one trip. The pleasure of traveling clueless at a new place or a new city is worth having because no matter what; you land up where you are supposed to be.

Try and wander in an ancient fort hearing the courageous tales that those old yet strong walls have to offer. For once get off you gadget and hear those folk songs or go for that famous show that the local theater calls for.
Sometimes the local spice of the place with a sip of tea in the company of strangers (or potential new friends) is way more fulfilling than those packaged products which are generally your tea time buddies.

The experience you gather off a trip like this gives you a sense of contentment that stays with you forever.

After all it isn't a lone journey,  it is a journey you take with and for your own self :)

It's all about shares

So well just like any other day we were texting when our discussion went like this…
Le me – ‘Yaar usse bhi experience nai and hume bhi nai toh ho lia humara kaam’
Le her  - ‘Mujhe toh khud pe self confidence h’
Le me – ‘@_@   Chalo let me now move from ‘sesso’ to shares, even though both have quite a numerous similarities, I am quite sure I won’t be asked about the former in the paper.’
Le her – ‘Tell me one similarity apart from that [A] that you do not have experience of either or [B] that you don’t like either.’
Le me - ‘There are many similarities, will tell you someday..’
Le her  - ‘Article likh de..’

Well I gave you a trailer that day; here goes the remaining bit as requested ….

Disclaimer: The following content is for grown up audiences the writer should not be held responsible in any way regarding any reality checks so caused. :]

“Sesso and the shares”
- The first and most important similarity, we all want it and yet are skeptical about having it.
- It is quite easily available in the market with a variety of options ;]
- And while you may get excited from the outer benefits, you better be careful and follow necessary precautions. [In either case you wouldn’t want to face future unavoidable consequences]
- Investment should be given due thought. As all shares give unexpected benefit during initial phase before giving negative returns.
- As easy as it seems both need a little planning and prior knowledge…after all who wants to fall in wrong hole at first ;]
- It’s an addicting habit; once you have a taste of it you would just crave for more of it.
- There a variety of ways to perform it.
- In modern developing world, both can be done anywhere, at anytime and with anyone.
- One of the peculiar features of Indian shares is that once u avail them you reap its fruit [sour or sweet] for way too long…generally you have to be content with one investment only.
- While the society shuns the idea, young blood loves investing secretly.
- There a no. of precautions available yet none gives 100% security. [As I said negative consequences]
- A lot of resource material is available online to refer to and well the key to better experience is to move in synchronization with the market flow.
- And now the most important one, you just get better with experience;]

While I can go on and on, I now presume you have got the idea how to draw a parallel between the two. Hope you liked it ;]

Stay tuned for more gyan ;)

 The 6 letter adjective

One day someone said "Oh!Finally u start behaving like a girl"
Other "Tomboy turning girly"
Another "U are growing pretty, cute and girly"
Well all of this and many others didn't really have much effect on me until their frequency increased lately.
I questioned myself one night 'Is everyone around right? Am i seriously "not girly" kinds of girl? Or does my dressing defines my girly traits?"
Self enquiry alert it was and trust me it did wonders. Then i figured out what is being girly afterall. Who defined timidness and cuteness as an adjective for a woman.
And well if they did then certainly I don't fit into their criteria of it.
I am strong, emotionally stable and can very well handle myself.  I have my views and I don't need to play silly and cute when I am not. And somehow the world around has believed that all this is contrary to one's personality of being a girl.
Not only this, your clothes and look also defines your "girly" nature. And well my sweatshirts and no make-up look doesn't qualifies for it.
So what! Who said all this is what a girl is about.Just because some lady once carried herself this way and others followed her to be like her, does it means this is how we should stereotype a girl's personality. I suppose not.
A modern day girl can be the way she wants. Wear and behave the way she likes.
Be the prim properly dressed or stay in her pants if she wishes to.
Seems like "not so girly" is just being normal girl and rather a girl definition these days is girly and stereotypical:P
And well some may call u a tomboy as a comment someday for being this way or that way.Let them say it.
It isn't a comment afterall. It is their brain approving of your personality by a 6 letter adjective.
Let them fool themselves. Be comfortable in who you are.
Your behaviour defines who you are socially and well your sex defines who you are biologically.
And no one wrote it one a stone to define how your biological being should define your social self. So all the " not so girly" oops correction all the normal girls out there be yourself as there is no limit to your being.

For the man I love :)

From the time you held me the first time
Your arms have always been comforting for me
You have taught me my first word, and now u hear all my crazy talks
You have held me in my every fall, and taught me my first step of walk
Through my highs and lows
You have always held me strong
No matter how near or far you were
You always made sure
I get what I wanted
Be it my childish wish or my sky high dreams
You have borne them all
 And maybe that’s why
I am the way I am today
Coz I know no one else in the world
Will endure my frenzy the way you do
And I may not say it explicitly,
But no matter how grown up I become
Yours are the arms, I always love returning to :)

 Lady in white

A journey isn't limited to travelling,it is much more. It teaches you, trains you and most importantly gives you memories. Not always the memories are good ones.Sometimes they may leave you to a big question.
So i was travelling via northern railways and as any other passenger I was quietly sitting and enjoying the view outside, occasionally fiddling with my phone when some commotion caught my attention . As soon as the train started everyone settled except for these two women. They were dressed in pale white saree with basic slipper and had their hairs cut really short. One of  them in her late 50's and other one too young to be carrying such an attire. So the aged lady was trying to finish up her morning chores(as it seemed) the latter politely helped her and while she did her thing the younger one sat on the empty seats.
Her stature completely calm and composed with no jewels, unlike other woman of her age. Her eyes were permanently zeroed to the ground not meeting anyone else's and she kept on arranging her white veil to cover her head.
I was too confused to judge who she really was. Was she a widow ? Did such a practice of seclusion still exists in India ?
We have often read in  history how widows were treated. How they were snatched with their right of living a basic life? All this disgusted me and so I became curious to interact with her.
To my surprise, she switched her seat and sat next to me. But before sitting she did something really unexpected. She placed a white sheet and then sat on it, as if her trail would make the seat dirty for others or what.
In any case it was quiet for a while before my patience broke and I tried to strike a conversation. We talked for a couple of minutes and then i asked her the much debated question in my head who she really was ? Her reply was something completely unexpected.

She wasn't a widow afterall, she was a 'sadhu' (a saint). A saint who has left these earthly pleasures and stays in the path enlightened by her guru.

How ironical it was. While some women (widows) are intentionally denied of their rights by the society, others (the saints) choose to leave it on purpose. A chosen path and an imposed destiny.

Well was it me over thinking or a general perception that anyone would have framed in my position is something I am still struggling to figure out.

But for all I know life is beautiful and one must enjoy it.
God wouldn't have gifted us with all these pleasures if he wanted us to part with them to be able to devote ourselves to him :)
